handmade save-the-dates.

One of my most creative friends - and bride-to-be! - here in Philadelphia, Cassandra, got the brilliant idea to print her wedding save-the-dates on vintage handkerchiefs.  As a designer, it was super easy for her to design a circular save-the-date monogram.  Then she send the design off to a custom stamp maker to create the printing block.

This past Saturday, I went over to her place to help with the printing production.  We didn't have an ink pad large enough, so I simply rolled the ink on the block with a brayer.  Within an hour we were sipping on beers and toasting to the completion of 90 save-the-date hankies.  Such a great idea for a variety of invitations, celebrations, and garden parties.
