design philly starts today.

Today is the big day for the design community in Philadelphia.  DesignPhiladelphia runs from today until October 23rd . . . 10 days of shows, talks, cocktail hours, demos, & receptions.  And lots of great design fun.

The event calendar is here.  Personally, I can't wait to learn more about the creation of Duke & Winston, as well as check out the show Penmanship at Vox Populi.   I also love that there is a custom book & letterpress class at Anthropologie.  Oh what lovely fun ahead!

to scale. to see at the print center.

I was searching for some art shows to check out this week & I came across To Scale, the current exhibit at The Print Center here in Philly.  It's a pretty cleaver concept for a group show, all whom are working in a one-to-one ratio with their various imagery.  The combination of art & reality at its finest.

And if the show isn't enough to get you to the Print Center before November 19th when it closes, perhaps you should note in your calendar that the founders of the Wooster Collective will be at the Print Center for a gallery talk next week, on Thursday, Oct. 14th.

The marriage of art & the public is really a beautiful thing.

Off to the Print Center,
